Umm, a sheepish hello…there has been a significant gap in time from my last post until this one. I am back though! As I reflect on the journey from August 2019 until now there have been some great surprises, some stumbles, and of course some fails. All great life lessons. Under the successes, top of mind is that I have completed my Masters of Arts in Tourism Management, convocation is set for June 2020. The research project that was required for graduation, it tested me. I experienced the full gamut of emotions; from love to almost hatred for the hold it had over me, back to love and acceptance as I neared the end.

Stumbles have been the other program I have been attempting to finish, I realize I am burning out from school, I am taking a spring break until April 1, and then will launch back into the last three courses to complete my Adult Instructor Diploma. I have set some big goals for 2020, and I am realizing that tackling a few big goals at the same time is frankly ( for me ) a bad idea. So in scaling them back, there is a sense of failure…although perhaps I should view it as simply changing my mind.

A big goal I am pursuing is running my 2nd half marathon at the end of May, training is going well up to 11.5km’s and aiming for completing the week at 12kms. I am also committed to the big step of more consistent posting on this blog and growing the audience. My plan is to broaden my content, oh it will still be my thoughts and musings don’t worry, but I am adding in more travel content, more photography and celebrating the moments in life that matter..slowing down, even in the fast lane.

Some planned ideas are Slow travel on a Tight Schedule, Close at Hand Adventures; celebrating the adventures that are local, and of course my favourite places, books and ways to push beyond the comfort zone.

Stay tuned…as I take my next big step.
