Three weeks or so I wrote about the opportunities I have grabbed hold of and participated in, writing a poem and joining an anthology. Today has been the day that I was able to read my poem online.

The poem I wrote was called Questions, it just came to me, almost complete in my mind. My poem was one of many that were written and read today to honour and remember the 69 students killed on this day in 1960.  International Day for the elimination of Racial Discrimination marks a day of remembrance for the victims of the Sharpeville Massacre in South Africa.

Please check out the poems here at https://commons.royalroads.ca/dag/original-poetry-exhibit/

Can writing and reading poetry change the world? I am not sure, but it certainly is worth a try.

Please enjoy the poems, they are all original works, written by students, alumni and faculty at Royal Roads University.
